Your gift will help restore, protect and celebrate this historic property that holds the stories of the Mukai family, Island agriculture, Kuni Mukai’s garden and the larger history of Japanese Americans on Vashon Island. Your support helps Mukai throughout the year – for operations, programming and special events. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to provide this community with a year round garden and farm to stroll and enjoy free to the public!

The button below will take you to our payment processor PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account.

Friends of Mukai is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation.

Our tax ID# is: 46-1860913.
All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the IRS.

Other ways to give:

Monthly Giving

Monthly giving allows you to spread your donation out over the course of the year. This can be done through the donation button at checkout.

Matching Gifts

Ask your employer if they have a gift matching program that will allow Friends of Mukai to receive double the funds with their match!

Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds, or DAFs, provide year-to-year flexibility in allocating gifts while also taking advantage of the tax benefits of making a gift to a charitable organization. Certain donor benefits are not allowable under IRS guidelines – talk to your financial advisor for more details.

IRA Charitable Rollovers

This rollover allows individuals over the age of 70 ½ to donate up to $100,000 to Friends of Mukai from their IRA without being taxed on that distribution. We encourage you to talk to your financial advisor for more details.

Legacy Giving

Mukai Farm & Garden is a legacy in of itself. If you would like to support our legacy as well as leave a legacy for yourself and ease your tax burden at the same time please let us know!

Volunteer!

The Friends of Mukai Wants YOU!

Mukai is successful because of volunteers. Want to help? The Friends of Mukai are actively recruiting individuals with a range of talents to help with the revival of Vashon’s own Mukai Farm & Garden. If you can hammer a nail, conduct a tour, staff an information booth or help plan or publicize an event – there’s a place for you!
